The
Fellowship Board shall be responsible for maintaining and promoting activities
that promote fellowship among all members and friends of the church.
The Fellowship Board plans ways to
assure that members and their guests will be fed and otherwise taken care of
during church meetings and other gatherings. Dine with 9 is
organized to include small groups of members who enjoy going together to sample
the foods and atmospheres at local restaurants. Dine with a Chef is
arranged so that members and guests dine at a home in which a "chef"
resides! Board members are known
for their own culinary talents as they produce pies and other goodies when
members gather.
The Board meets
the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM.

Annual Report of Fellowship Board May 20, 2007
 |
Men’s Breakfast supplied the treats and served at coffee
fellowship on Mother’s Day in exchange for Fellowship's supplying and serving
breakfast the Friday before Father’s Day. Great trade enjoyed by all.
|
 |
We did a meet and eat picnic for the Annual Meeting and for
new members. In June we honored graduates with cards and gifts.
July was cause for celebration of Pastor Sharyl’s 5-year anniversary with us.
A potluck with chocolate, chocolate, and did we say chocolate, was enjoyed by a
large number of congregants.
|
 |
We also decided, as part of the challenge to do something
new, to begin a 5th-Sunday potluck, "Be a Shepherd and Bring a Sheep."
This was to invite those we haven’t seen in awhile, someone new, or just those
who couldn’t stay for fellowship because of other schedules. No donations
asked for just a chance to relax and visit with friends. 5th-Sundays
occurred in Oct., Dec., and April.
|
 |
Sept. 10th was Kick-Off Sunday, shared with Growth
Board--Potluck one more time.
|
 |
Oct. 15 we assisted Growth Board with the Open House.
|
 |
October’s 5th-Sunday potluck included a deviled egg contest
juried by 3 willing judges. It was well attended by 80 plus hungry folks.
|
 |
In Nov. we celebrated our Veterans on the 12th. The
19th was the Annual Pie Social with the proceeds going toward playground
equipment for out children. The equipment is stored in the cupboard near the
northwest door in Pilgrim Hall.
|
 |
In Dec. the children decorated the tree in Pilgrim Hall that
was donated by Martha Jones. Along with unknown angels the church was also
decorated. Of course munchies were provided to the participants.
Christmas breads were shared in fellowship after the Cantata presented by
American Lutheran and our choir in a wonderful combined effort. Christmas
Eve morning fellowship was highlighted with a piñata for the children.
Pastor Sharyl was the one to finally open it up with a mighty swing.
Following the Christmas Eve service members and friends enjoyed wassail and
special holiday cookies.
|
 |
We ended the year with 5th-Sunday pot luck with a New Year’s
theme and a send-off for Pastor Sharyl as she began her Sabbatical.
|
 |
We kicked off the New Year with another challenge—The
FunDraiser. A most successful evening was held to help defray the building
fund debt. Guests left full, entertained and pleased with the new
treasures so generously shared by fellow congregants. In Jan. we also
hosted the Annual Financial Meeting.
|
 |
In Feb. we held a cookie exchange and celebrated Valentine’s
day with goodie bags for our shut ins. On Shrove Tuesday we enjoyed a
Pancake Supper.
|
 |
April provide another celebration of a continental breakfast
before Easter services. And to end our church year we held the last 5th-Sunday
pot luck.
Thanks to all the non—board members who assisted in an amazing celebratory
year and to your own Fellowship Board member.
