The Board of Mission & Outreach reaches out,
both locally and globally, to those in need by:
--Inspiring and educating
the congregation to greater commitment of time, talent and money
--Selecting charities and
programs, local and national, to receive apportioned funds
--Striving each year to
maintain our giving to Our Church's Wider Mission, our major ministry
The Board of Mission & Outreach meets the
2nd Sunday of each month after worship service.

The Mission and Outreach (M&O) board kicked off the past
year with a Board retreat, where we defined the following mission statement
for M&O:
First Congregational UCC shows Christ's love by
caring and doing, including feeding, clothing and sheltering for those in need
in our local and wider communities.
The Mission and Outreach (M&O) Board strives to
heighten congregational awareness and increase participation in "caring and
doing" for our communities.
Using this mission statement, as well as feedback received
from the congregational survey, the M&O Board, other Boards and church
organizations, and over 120 individuals from the congregation participated in
the following mission activities this year:

In addition to the thousands of hours that our
dedicated volunteers put into this mission work, First Congregational raised
approximately $12,000 in special offerings and fundraisers for these missions
activities. M&O wants to thank all of you for asking "What Would Jesus Do" and
for making our church one of the most mission-active churches in our community
as well as in the UCC Rocky Mountain Conference.
