Churches In Which We Worshiped Our original services in 1890 were held by our first minister, Samuel F. Dickinson (who served from 1890 through 1897) in a Gospel tent that was loaned by Denver's Home Missionary Society.
Later, services were held in "borrowed" spaces in several buildings, such as the County Courthouse and the Mandel Opera House (built in 1882) at 6th & Main Streets in downtown Grand Junction.
Next, in 1904, we acquired the stately church building at 2nd & Rood, where we worshiped until the present property was purchased. Fellowship Hall became the first sanctuary in 1954. Subsequently, the current sanctuary building was completed:
