Adult Education

We have several Adult Learning Opportunities available here at First Congregational:

On Sunday Mornings from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. we are offering “Living The Questions” Part I in the Chapel.  Classes began on September 11, 2011 and will continue until October 23, 2011.

On Wednesday Evenings from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m. we are offering “Living The Questions” Part II in the Chapel.  Classes began on September 14, 2011 and will continue until October 26, 2011.

These classes are being facilitated by our three wonderful leaders, Rev. Chuck Holmgren, Martha Jones, and Julie Krueger and are exceptional ways to explore those important questions we all have about our faith journeys. There are three segments in the “Living The Questions” curriculum, segment one was offered during the summer and is being repeated during the Sunday morning class.  Segment two on Wednesday evenings is offered for those who have already completed segment one.

Registration for these classes is requested so that we can know how many materials will be needed.  There is a $10.00 charge for materials, and Scholarships are available.  Please call the church office 970-242-0298 and leave your name, or sign up at the church

On September 25, 2011 at 11:45 a.m. in Pilgrim Hall, Heidi Hess and Jennie Hemborg will be offering a class for all folks who would like to learn more about how to use their computers and cell phones.  It will be a fun class and give everyone a chance to ask those questions they might be afraid to ask others and will last as long as those attending want it to.  You might want to write down some of the things you want to learn and bring these notes with you.

Private Study

Our Library has a wealth of books, video tapes and other resources.  The library has been newly refurbished, next to Fellowship Hall, and a Children's Library has been added.  Frances Crowell (#243-6245) is our librarian, and she may be able to tell you where to find a topic or book that relates to your search.
