MISSION GIVING FOR 2009

First Congregational Church gave to missions in many ways during 2009.  We gave $12,000 to OCWM (Our Church's Wider Mission), which is approximately 6% of budgeted pledges and offerings and donations. Other major mission contributions included:

 In-kind gifts (e.g., school supplies, non-perishable foods, clothing, toys, and books) were also received and distributed to a variety of local agencies through monthly food collections, Christmas Giving Trees (clothes to Salvation Army, Homeward Bound, and Catholic Outreach, and Latimer House gift cards, toys and clothes), our Thanksgiving Sukkoth (LOTS of food for Community Food Bank).  Our church members show their generosity in so many ways to our community.
