Endowment and Financial Advisory Committee Annual Report of May 23, 2010 During the past year the Committee has continued to monitor the performance of the UCC Foundation Funds. Both the Conservative Balanced Fund (General Endowment) and the Moderate Balanced Fund (Building Fund) out-performed their index. The Conservative Fund was up 27.11% during the year ending March 31, 2010, and the Moderate Fund was up 36.18%. No additional members were added to The Legacy Circle. We continue to believe that this is a valuable program for our Church and will continue to promote it periodically. We urge you to consider putting the Church in your will and would welcome an opportunity to discuss the many ways of doing this with anyone on our Committee. The Committee prepared a chart to show the sources of income and expense in our annual budget for the January Congregational meeting which helped to visualize a complicated subject. Recently a decision was made to create a Perpetual Membership Fund. More will be coming on this subject soon. The Committee also recommended shifting our Memorial Savings Account at Bank of Colorado (currently earning only 0.25% quarterly interest) and some other memorial funds in the Trust account to open a United Church Funds Fixed-Income Fund (recently earning 4.56%) as our primary Memorial Account (including Designated, Undesignated and Truman Parks Memorial accounts). Proper management of the Wish List has been an ongoing discussion during this year. We hope that this will be resolved during the next year. Respectfully Submitted, Jack Roberts, Chairman Click Here View FCC Financials (and page down to Endowment Fund) Members of the 2010-2011 Committee are: Chair Jack Roberts David Hoefer Bill Newman ____________, Trustee Chair Carolyn Ramsey, Treasurer
