CHILDREN’S SUNDAY SCHOOL

      Sunday School Assistants
In order to ensure the safety of our children and their teacher, Mary Wilkie and the CE Board are seeking volunteers who would be willing to be the second adult in the Sunday school class. There is no planning required. Mary plans and teaches all the lessons.
This is not an every Sunday job! The more volunteers we get, the fewer times you will be asked to assist with the class. This is a wonderful opportunity for adults in our congregation to spend some time with our children.

  FIRST SUNDAY NIGHT SPIRITUAL MOVIES

                              “Noél” December 2nd 6:30 to 9:00 PM
“Noél” is a film to remind us that “Miracles are closeer than you think!...As five strangers’ lives intertwine on Christmas Eve, a story of companionship, love, and healing unfolds against the backdrop of New York City. Director Chazz Palminteri has woven a delightful tale of redemption, faith, and the joy of living!”
An all-star case includes Susan Saradon, Penelope Cruz, Paul Walker, and Alan Arkin.
This is a film, that informs our hearts, minds, and spirits! Free Popcorn!   We’ll be in the comfy Gathering Space!
[AND...if you’d like to see one of the last two months’ specials “Peaceful Warrior” and “Pay It Forward,” those DVDs are now in the Library to check out.]

SUNDAY MORNING LIVE  The last Sunday for this gathering is December 2nd.  Thanks to those who have participated.

Mission and Outreach Board

We are asking for all of our members and friends to open their hearts and wallets this giving season. Please help by choosing from the Giving Trees that will be in the Gathering Space. There will be multiple opportunities for each of us to brighten the lives of many this holiday season for the guests of Latimer House, Homeward Bound, Catholic Outreach and the ever popular Warm and Fuzzy Tree.
The Warm and Fuzzy Tree items consist of hats, gloves, scarves and or a warm coat of any size. These gifts will be distributed to the organization with the most need this year.
Catholic Outreach needs our help with story books and pajamas for infants to age 7.
Homeward Bound’s cupboards are in need of restocking. Please consider commercial size can goods (available at Sam’s, City Market, WalMart, etc.). Grocery gift card or checks made to the church with Homeward Bound on the “For” line would also help to defray the ever burgeoning food costs they face daily.
Latimer House has families with needs. Please check the tree to select an item that will be appreciated.
All items will be delivered on Friday Dec. 21st by your M & O Elves in time for the big day.
[M & O received a letter from the Salvation Army offering many volunteer opportunities in the months of November and December. If you haven’t seen it , please check the bulletin board on your way to coffee. This is another way we can help others by giving of our time.]
