CHRISTIAN EDUCATION NEWS
Pastoral Care Guide Class
Continuing on Wednesdays at 10:00 AM the class will be held in the
chapel at FCUCC. The book The Indispensable Guide to Pastoral Care
by Sharyl B. Peterson will be discussed. Books are available to
purchase in the church office at a cost of $15, or a copy may be
checked out of the church library.
Why would you want to participate in a discussion about pastoral
care? You are not a pastor. The book leads you to explore several
issues that are pertinent to the living of our everyday Christian
lives.
The group will meet each Wednesday morning for 10 weeks. Each
session will be approximately 1 1/2 hours long. If you want more
information contact Chuck Holmgren at 245-5870, or catch him at
church.

CHOIR ROAD TRIP! The FCUCC
choir has been able to plan a fun trip scheduled for Saturday and Sunday,
June 7th and 8th, 2008. We have worked out a joint service with our sister
UCC Church in Silverton, Colorado. Both the Chancel Choir and members of
our Cantabile Ringers will be attending. We are very excited about this
opportunity and would like to invite other church members to join us.
Whether you come down for the 9AM Sunday service or make a weekend (or
more) out of it, we’d love to see you there! If you might be interested in
joining us, please talk to Karen Caton (245-0193) for details and lodging
information. |
