CHOIR ROAD TRIP!  The FCUCC choir has been able to plan a fun trip scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, June 7th and 8th, 2008. We have worked out a joint service with our sister UCC Church in Silverton, Colorado. Both the Chancel Choir and members of our Cantabile Ringers will be attending.

We are very excited about this opportunity and would like to invite other church members to join us. Whether you come down for the 9AM Sunday service or make a weekend (or more) out of it, we’d love to see you there! If you might be interested in joining us, please talk to Karen Caton (245-0193) for details and lodging information

Interested in Latino Ministries?

There is a group of folks from several of our East Slope churches who have been working on projects affecting many Hispanic citizens in their communities and in the State of Colorado. They are seeking to include members from other areas of the Rocky Mountain Conference.
They are working to expand mission opportunities, perhaps even taking a group to assist immigrants in one of the border areas. They are very familiar with the La Puente Home in Alamosa where our own Mission and Outreach Board has hosted mission trips the last two years.
This is a ground floor group who has a lot of resources to be able to assist in mission projects, or provide education about issues affecting the Hispanic community.
If you might be interested in these types of issues and would like to become part of this group, need reference materials, or would like someone from the group speak to a class or community group, please call Malcolm Emshoot at 303-287-4718, or log on to www.uccesperenza.blogspot.com.
