Prayers for Children and Families
As we continue to pray
for Children and Families as part of the UCC’s 50th celebration of
ministry to children and families please pray with me for the following:
September 30 – October 6 Pray for schools related to
the United Church of Christ.
October 7 – October 13 Pray for teachers in your
schools and for the professors at all UCC schools.
October 14 – October 20 Pray for generous support of
time, loving care, and funding for seven closely related seminaries of the
United Church of Christ and six historically black colleges and
universities of the American Missionary Association.
October 21 – October 27 Pray for all UCC students
everywhere, especially the seminarians and theological students, campus
ministries and students, chaplains and their spiritual journeys.
I also encourage prayers
for children and families displaced by recent hurricanes, severe thunder
storms, and for those still struggling with the aftermath of Hurricane
Katrina who still have no place to call home, and have no schools in which
to learn. Pastor Dan |

Women’s Fellowship
Thursday, October 18, 2:00 P.M.
Our speaker will be
Sister Pat Lewter, one of the founders of the Counseling and Education
Center. She will tell us about how the Center came to be and what services
they provide today. Come to learn more about our community and to enjoy a
time of fellowship with women in our church family.
Pickles
Susan Hartman has donated
60 pints of sweet pickles that she and her mother canned to be sold by
Women’s Fellowship with the proceeds to be donated to a mission project.
The pickles will be sold for $2.50 a pint. Look for the pickle table in
Mayflower Hall following worship services.
Thank you, Susan! |
